Pictures, at last.
Okay I'm finally feeling free and up to posting some pictures and stuff from Malaysia and Bangkok. Didn't take any pictures during the Sekou weekend though, so none to post (waiting for people to send haha). But anyway, wow. Sekou has such beautiful and jazzy shines! And he's a pretty good teacher too; his workshops were enjoyable and a good workout (all of us were aching the next day).
Anyway; since so many pictures of MSF have already been posted on Facebook and other blogs, here is just a short depiction of the event in a little collage.
Onward to Bangkok - flew there the day after Msia and shopped the hell out of the place (explains why there weren't really very many pictures, actually.
The atas shopping centre opposite our hotel, with all the big brands and all. Perlini is super expensive in BKK!
Street food; was rather yummy, especially the barbequed squids and chicken hearts on those little satay sticks (not featured in the photos)... DAMN NICE!!
Haha. The ashtrays they make there are rather fascinating...
Bed Supperclub - it looks a little like a spaceship! Was really quite nice inside too, cover was about $32sgd for 2 drinks (which we could choose from a rather extensive list of cocktails, wine and coffee cocktails, which was rather cool), which I think is quite okay, but probably considered pricey for the locals. And the funniest thing was; of all things, we went there during their SALSA NIGHT. Haha. Rather hilarious.Oh and I fell asleep -_- the beds were too comfortable and I was too tired. Haha imagine falling asleep while clubbing/pubbing; how amusing. But was nice and chill.
Moving on; had lunch at Whitebait and Kale with Brandon (who flew off last Saturday :() and Crystal (who's flying off next Wednesday :(:(:(), and ooh the food was rather nice. Should've got a fish dish though (it is their specialty after all) but chose to get a set lunch thing, which had a whole bunch of exciting things to try.
Unfortunately, my camera is a little spoilt at the moment; it just suddenly conked out and can only take strange fuzzy pictures now :( so these will have to do. Shall just post two pictures - of the pretty tea set, and the really yummy dessert.
Cherry jubilee with vanilla bean ice cream and toasted almond croquant. Yums.
