Life in France
My exchange mate says "I like it big!" in reference to accessories, and "I love it small!" in reference to laptops, and my mind goes crazy. Perhaps my mind is just warped. Hurhur.
Life in France is nice and peaceful - I love the parks in Europe, the gorgeous autumn weather and the ridiculously green grass which is nice and soft and great to sit on. School has been busy, but not excessively so such that we can still enjoy the weekends and not work then.
A mid-term is coming up though, so I think I actually have to study. Damn.
They have no close buttons in the lifts here, by the way. Strange, huh?
And my charade skills are improving. Haha!

Oktoberfest!
Beer seems to make everything all wonderful and fabulous when consumed in the right quantity, and of the right type, for me. Oktoberfest in Munich was freaking awesome - I drank the most beer I ever had (5 or 6 pints worth - shut up I know it's not a lot but for me it is ok!), without puking (thank goodness), and got a bit high and happy and floated about the grounds without a care in the world. Also stuffed myself with various German goodies throughout the day - white sausages with sweet mustard, random wursts with sauerkraut, sausage jerky things, random bread things, ice cream, and pork and onion burger. Yummy.
Also managed to meet up with some people there - another cool thing about so many people doing exchange in Europe is being able to enjoy this kind of fantastic experience together with friends. The most amazing thing also happened, though I'm still unsure if it was the beer, the atmosphere, the time apart, or everything all together at once. Whatever it was, it was totally amazing, and although the euphoria of this day will fade in time to come, I will definitely remember this experience.
The rest of the pictures are on Facebook...
Happy!

I like taking the train.
It feels bizarre, seeing all these things I've only ever heard about or seen in movies - a small house in a idyllic countryside, accompanied with a cosy garden of flowers and sheets on a laundry line flapping in the wind.
The sun, rising across the neverending horizon of the Atlantic Ocean, as I watch from inside a train.
The sun, just freshly risen, across the Sahara Desert, reflecting dunes of glittering sand.
Fields of corn, wide expanses of farmland and mountains, crowned by a bed of the clearest, bluest sky and white fluffy clouds.
Beautiful beaches - curved in big arcs, with the waves washing calmly to shore. Lying in the sun, basking in the heat with cool winds blowing.
This, is the way life should be.

Somehow just don't seem to have time to post - it's constantly either school or travel, and the lull in activities last week resulting in total boredom and slight depression is completely gone.
Been to a couple of places and uploading pictures on FB, but I shall post a few here - of the absolutely gorgeous view from the Rialto Bridge, some random scenery pictures, and some of the intricate and gorgeous masks which were everywhere in Venice.
I am SO glad for my DSLR. Still not taking nice enough pictures, but it'll come with practice, hopefully. Alright... peace out. Will update more another time!
