Foooooooooooood.
What is WITH the obsession with being thin, anyway? I mean, I must admit that I'm one of the sad suckers in society who do try to chase that "ideal", but anyway, it's really very rude and not nice to be MEAN to people who aren't. Seriously. Unless it's actually getting in the way of your health/turning into a social outcast, people should have the right and the choice to eat stuff they like without watching every calorie. Otherwise life will be very sad, okay. But fine, I guess if you're not a food lover then it doesn't matter.
But really, people can be so mean. And not just to fat people.
In other news, this is a very boring list of Singaporean (ok well stuff I couldn't get overseas or was too poor to eat) food, which I have eaten in the past 3 weeks back home/want to eat soon :P it's really for my own entertainment, so you don't have to read it if you don't want to haha.
(obviously after a while I got abit lazy and stopped taking photos)
Chai dao kuey
Dua tau
Laksa
Beehoon goreng pedas
Bisteak goreng
Beef noodles
McSpicy
Yu pian mi fen with milk
Ok the list goes on and on... but actually now that I'm back I'm not in a huge rush to eat all the different kinds haha. Plenty of time. It's nice to be back in the land of good (and affordable) food though! And also nice to not have to put on/remove a huge pile of clothing whenever I go outdoors/indoors.
But I do miss Europe, the cool weather, the freedom, the old school feel, the beautiful nature - mountains, rivers, green pastures, etc. And the friends I made, too. But this is still home, and I've more or less settled back in already. Soon Europe will be naught but a distant memory; although, just less than a month ago I was - bravely climbing Gellert Hill in Budapest at 11pm at night, idly strolling through Naschmarkt in Vienna, and eating fried carp in Prague with a Czech family, like 70% of all households in the Czech Republic.
Haha. I promise not to be one of those people who never get over my exchange though... life goes on! ;P
