Time goes by faster when you're having fun
Boo, where has the weekend gone to!Friday night was the "Black and Gold" salsa party which was part of the festivities of Jitterbugs' opening weekend, where our little team of salsa/cha cha aficionados performed a quirky cha cha cha shines routine. 'Monochromed randomness' was the theme for this number. I think I made a few little mistakes, but overall it went pretty well :) In any case, it was fun! And great to see a choreo grow and develop and come to life, sorta :P
Spent most of Saturday sleeping, but dragged myself out of bed to go for Rebekah's adult ballet trial class and since I was there, went for Luv's B2 for fun too lol. Then, suddenly got a last minute free ticket to F1 rocks, so got to go see The Black Eyed Peas and Beyonce live! SUPER awesome, I tell you.
Now I wish I could've seen No Doubt too! Gwen Stefani is SO cool I can't believe she's almost 40 - she still looks so young and has super nice abs. Man. Plus she sings so well!Watching Black Eyed Peas and Beyonce was a bit like a blast into the past - the songs of my teenage years - Where is the Love, Pump it, Let's Get it Started, Say My Name, Crazy in Love etc. But I must say, the reverbrating bass and surround sound of a live concert really just makes it so much better. Can understand why people love going to concerts! The Black Eyed Peas were so feel good and happy and made me feel like dancing and jumping around, and Beyonce and her dancers can REALLY dance man, whoa, and her head flicks are MAD! And she can actually sing lol, unlike some other artistes in that genre.
Didn't go see F1 though - as much as I think it's pretty exciting and all, I can't justify paying so much for a ticket haha and I guess it's the kinda thing I'd go to only if I have friends who are on about it and want to go. But in any case, cool weekend! Had a great time at the concert :D
Finished it off by going swimming on Sunday (well more like tanning, really) with Eugene and then hitting the gym (but was so lethargic from falling asleep in the sun I didn't really do much :(). And there went my weekend, just like that. Back to the grind tomorrow!
